A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT/CEO
This week we had a seminar on Stewardship for Great Leaders taught by Jessica Miller of TrueNorth Global Training Institute. This seminar really hit home for me and how I feel about my position at the Chamber and our membership.
The word stewardship, when first looked at, can mean a lot of different things to a lot of different people. One of the first meanings that probably comes to mind for many of us is that it is related to faith, or we believe the word to be faith-based. Also, many of us probably don’t think of the word stewardship in relation to the business world.
But what I took away from the seminar, and I hope you also take this away today, is that stewardship is actually overseeing, protecting and growing something bigger than yourself.This is absolutely relevant to any business and how I feel about the Chamber and our members. My job is to oversee, protect and grow and I take that to heart.
Hopefully, this real meaning of stewardship resonates with you, and you can use it in your business, personal or family life.
