The odds of success in any endeavor increase dramatically when you team up with other people. Entrepreneur and LinkedIn cofounder Reid Hoffman said “No matter how brilliant your mind or strategy, if you’re playing a solo game, you’ll always lose out to a team.”
The success of our 2021 Golf Scramble could not have happened without a “team.” Not only did the Chamber staff come together, but so did the Board of Directors, the sponsors, the golfers and the volunteers. I can’t thank this team enough! This group of people made a difference when its members made the transition from thinking “The group is here to benefit me” to “I’m here to benefit the group.” The focus moved from “I” to “We.” We need each other to make this thing called life work; to lean and support; to give and take; to relate and respond; and release and rely.
