In your 3-year term, what would you like to see the chamber accomplish? I would like to see the Chamber continue to be a resource for small businesses when there is a crisis. Post crisis I encourage the Chamber to continue to be a central point of information. I would like to see the chamber align with residents more and engage them in activities that drive them to local businesses. I would like to increase membership in less visible and emerging industries along with stakeholders in the Defense industry. I would like to investigate how buildings and land are being utilized. If there is opportunity to optimize use, I would encourage the chamber to be at the forefront.

In your 3-year term, what would you like to see the chamber accomplish? The next three years are going to be critical to the vitality of this region. There are many unknowns with how COVID-19 will affect the long-term health of our businesses, but there are things in our control. In addition to what the Chamber already is doing, I would love to see a double down on outreach to community businesses. I do not think that most member businesses understand the resources the Chamber provides. If they do not exist already, checklists/assessments to be sent out to member businesses to ensure they are utilizing Chamber resources to the fullest would be an excellent endeavor. The more contact, virtual, socially distant, or in person that the Chamber can have with members, the better!

Name, Company & Position: Brandy King, Spooner Risk Control Services, Regional Sales Manager

In your 3-year term, what would you like to see the chamber accomplish? There is an area of opportunity for the Chamber to focus as much on the needs of the business community as they have in the community at large – and this is something I’d love to take part in. There is a tremendous value in the MEWA insurance program offered through the Chamber. Promoting this benefit could potentially bring in more members if the Chamber is able to build better connections with the brokers who understand and are able to write these plans. If we can help those partners understand what makes our Chamber uniquely beneficial, they’ll be more likely to suggest Beavercreek Chamber than having their client randomly choose any participating SOCA member.  As the majority of brokers writing that plan are already within my network, I can certainly help build those relationships.

There could also be expansion and retention potential in organizing a joint-networking event with smaller groups in the area - like BNI, H7, or even another trade organization. These are great opportunities to introduce potential new Chamber members to what Beavercreek has to offer. I would also be interested in testing out a return of the Women in Business luncheons. It could start out as a quarterly event, with frequency increases/decreases based on participation. I remember these luncheons very fondly from my time as a Chamber member in the early 2000s.

Name, Company & Position: Alex Wolodkiewicz, Pinnacle Financial Associates, Financial Planner/Partner

In your 3-year term, what would you like to see the chamber accomplish? I would like to see the Chamber continue to get the younger generation/young professionals the opportunities to learn how to lead, run a successful business, and network with the many successful businesses in our Chamber. Whether that is through new programs, like Greene Leads, or events positioned for young professionals. During the two years that I served as a member of Greene Leads, it provided me a learning experience to be a better leader/business person and to also build long term friendships/business relationships with others in our Beavercreek Community.
