Casa Núñez March Carry-Out Dinners

Good Day Dear Friends of Casa Núñez!

What a trip??? So far!!!  Last year, we visited 37 different countries and enjoyed cooking and serving their traditional foods.  In February, we went back to Portugal, Spain, France, and Italy.  This time, we had drinks with every stop we made… Cachaça Lemonade, Sangria, French Connection, and coming this Friday… Italian Prosecco!

So lets continue our world travels… and next lets go to the “Dark Continent” plus one!
 
On Thursday, March 4, we will revisit Morocco on Friday, March 12 and the menu will include Hummus, Orange Salad with Arugula, “Shakshuka” Meatballs with Couscous, and Stuffed Dates.
 
Our next stop is South Africa with a very traditional dinner with Boerewors Sausages, Roasted Eggplant Salad, Bunny Chow (hollowed loaf of bread and stuffed with chicken, potatoes, and carrots), and for desert “Melktert” (a milk custard).
 
Casa Núñez needs to celebrate “Saint Patrick Day” every year just because Iván needs to sing “Oh Danny Boy”!  So, on Wednesday, March 17, we will be offering our traditional Irish menu which includes an Irish Pub salad, Waterford Blaas bread, Guinness Beef Stew, and Porter Cake.
 
Now back to Africa… and our next stop is Egypt on Thursday, March 25!  This dinner starts with a “Bissara” Fava beans dip, “Koshary” (lentils, tomatoes, onions, rice, and macaroni stew), “Falafel” made with chickpeas, and “Ghorayebah” cookies.
 
Last stop is Algiers on Wednesday, March 31!  What a menu… “Maakouda (potato bites with a dip), Algerian green bean salad, “Tajine Zitoune” (chicken stew with olives and carrots), and “Mahjouba” (crepes).
 
Again, thank you so much for been a very special supporter of this “Crazy” adventure!  You guys have been an inspiration!
