Traditions of Beavercreek will host an important event to address your wishes in the event of serious accident or illness at any time of life. Ms. Elizabeth Durnell-Maier a local attorney, will discuss the documents you need if you cannot make your own health care decisions. These documents are a living will and health care power of attorney. Attorney Durnell-Maier will also discuss wills and how living trusts avoid the fees, delay, and publicity of probate. She will also discuss qualifying for Veteran's Benefits - specifically Aid and Attendance - a long term care solution for veterans. The seminar will also touch on how one can accomplish Medicaid planning to preserve wealth if they face a nursing home stay. Once Attorney Durnell explains how each element works, a paralegal from her office will prepare your Health Care POA and Living Will for you for free. If there are too many people to get everyone finished that day, appointments will be offered to complete them at Ms. Durnell-Maier’s office. Participants will be offered a free consultation with Ms. Durnell-Maier in her office for discussing wills, living trusts, VA benefits, and nursing home planning. There is no charge to attend this presentation. Please RSVP by Friday, April 12th at (937) 427-6220.
