SUMMARY:Aqua-Tots Swim Schools Beavercreek Ribbon Cutting & Grand Opening
DESCRIPTION:Join us as we welcome\n\nAqua-Tots\n\nto Beavercreek\n\n \n\nThey will be open to the public starting May 4th.\n\nThe Ribbon Cutting will be held at 11:00 am\n\n\n\nThey will have open swim from 12-4 with refreshments and water safety presentations.\n\n\n\nMay is National Water Safety Month. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDCP)\, every day about ten people die from unintentional drowning. Drowning is the second leading cause of unintentional injury death for children ages 1 to 14 years\, and the fifth leading cause for people of all ages. \n\n \n\nWould your child know what to do if he or she accidentally fell into a pool? In an ideal world\, every parent would be able to answer that question with a resounding "Yes."\n\n \n\nAccording to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC)\, Ohio is among the top 10 states for child drownings in 2016 and is the highest ranking northern state. It's imperative that children learn to swim\, not only to have fun in the water\, but to be safe in and around the water.\n\n \n\nThe new Beavercreek Aqua-Tots facility at 2451 Lakeview Drive near Aldi and Hobby Lobby is one of 70 Aqua-Tots schools located throughout the U.S and internationally\, and the second school for owners Paul and Rebecca Sinopoli. Paul and Rebecca served in the US Air Force for 26 years and chose to retire in Dayton\, Ohio to settle and open their Aqua-Tots Swim Schools. "We're extremely excited to expand our business and serve more Miami Valley families and get involved in the community\," says Rebecca Sinopoli.\n\n \n\nFounded in 1991 in Arizona\, Aqua-Tots Swim Schools developed a nationally acclaimed method for teaching its "Lessons for Life" curriculum. "We teach swimming lessons to children as young as 4 months and have even taught several adults\," Sinopoli said. "Learning to swim is an important life skill and something to enjoy throughout our lifetime."\n\n \n\nAqua-Tots Swim Schools offers eight different class levels for varying ages and swimming abilities. In addition\, Aqua-Tots' group classes have a very low student to teacher ratio\, no more than four students per instructor. All instructors are highly trained and certified through a rigorous academic and in-water skills education program.\n\n \n\nThe facility is an indoor\, year-round 90 pool separated from the lobby by glass walls. The glass walls enable parents to sit comfortably in the quiet\, climate-controlled lobby and freely watch their child learn to swim. The lobby features Wi-Fi and a play area for young swimmers and siblings. \n\n \n\n "Our goal is to educate the community by helping parents prevent water accidents through teaching quality swim lessons at a young age\, and to partner with other organizations and families to reduce this preventable tragedy in Ohio\," said Sinopoli.\n\n \n\n "Miami Valley waterways are among the state's most beautiful and cherished amenities\, but too often the draw of sparkling water can lead to tragedy for children and adults who don't know how to swim. Whether a child learns to swim through Aqua-Tots or another qualified program\, the most important thing is that they learn to swim."\n\n \n\nJoin us on May 4th at 11 am for the official opening and ribbon cutting at Aqua-Tots Swim Schools Beavercreek. \n\n \n\nFor more information on the Aqua-Tots Swim School program\, please contact the school at 937-886-4321 or visit www.aqua-tots.com or stop by for a tour of the facility.
