    Job Description
    Position Overview:   The president/CEO of the Beavercreek Chamber of Commerce exercises leadership over all chamber affairs and is responsible for collaborating with members, other local businesses, and the community at large in order to foster a positive economic climate.  This includes strategic planning, member/sponsorship development and support, and community advocacy. This position reports directly to and is responsible to a 15 member Board of Directors.  
    Chamber Leadership/Strategic Planning
    • Oversee Chamber staff and their activities, including oversight of recruitment, selection, training, supervision and evaluation.
    • Prepare for Board Approval, and oversee, Chamber goals and strategies; present reports regarding strategic initiatives and activities to the Board and members.
    • Oversee all chamber finances; assure proper management of all chamber assets and resources.
    • Prepare for Board approval, and oversee, the Chamber’s annual budget.
    • Cultivate, and offer counsel to, the Board of Directors; responds to requests from the Board. 
    • Coordinate all Board and Executive Committee meetings and activities with the Board Chair.
    • Implement Board directives and committee structures.
    • Oversee all committees; represent Chamber on Ambassador Steering Committee and other committees as needed.
    • Assure adherence of Chamber Bylaws, Policy and Procedures Manual, Employee Handbook and Financial Policies and Procedures.
    • Assure retention of historical files and documents related to all chamber business.
    Member/Sponsorship Development and Support
    • Recruit and retain members and sponsors for the chamber.
    • Provide member support for business development and growth.
    • Foster strong networks among the businesses and business leadership of Beavercreek.
    • Communicate an understanding of Chamber benefits and values which meets specific needs of members.
    Community Advocacy
    • Support Economic Development initiatives in Beavercreek and Greene County.
    • Partner and interact with other Greene County chambers and region chambers to seek strong chamber collaboration and cooperation.
    • Develop relationships with state, county and local legislators and dignitaries.
    • Represent the Chamber at all appropriate civic and community activities.
    • Present Chamber plans and activities to the broader community.
    • 5 years of experience in a leadership role; Chamber of Commerce experience preferred
    • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or public relations preferred
    • Outstanding supervisory skills required
    • Outstanding verbal, non-verbal, listening, and written communications skills required
    • Outstanding public speaking and presentation skills required
    Salary and Benefits
    • Pay range is $60K – 65K
    • Generous paid holidays, vacation, and flexible work schedule
