The most important tasks for Junk Removal Team Members are to truly “WOW” the customer and ensure they do not damage property. Impressing the customer means going above and beyond the call of duty, working with enthusiasm, tidying up the work area at the conclusion of the job, and working efficiently.

Team Leader Roles and Responsibilities
The Team Leader is responsible for ensuring the timely and proper completion of all work orders, the safe and efficient operation of the truck, and the proper completion of all checklist items throughout the day. The Team Leader is expected to make decisions autonomously, to defer to Dispatch and/or management when necessary, and to understand when each of those situations applies.

Sales, checklist completion, invoicing jobs, and safely loading the truck will be done for every job. Top Flight expects team members to arrive on time for their scheduled shift and work hard until the day is done. Truck Team Leaders who quote extremely accurately, safely drive our vehicles, and impress customers may receive bonuses periodically.

Compensation: $18 to $20 per hour (based on experience & veteran status), plus benefits

Responsibilities: 

• Provide friendly, expedient, and outstanding customer service
• Safely remove, load, and sort unwanted items onto the truck to donate, recycle, and properly dispose of items
• Ensure the job order is completed as required
• Work efficiently with the team to stay on schedule
• Assist the team with disposing of all items on the truck appropriately at the end of the shift
• Assist in organic and traditional marketing strategies
• Ensure commercial truck, tools, and facilities are clean and organized
• Maintain professional appearance and be in uniform
• Account for tools and materials at the beginning of the shift, prior to leaving each job site, and prior to the end of the shift
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

• Must have a valid Ohio driver’s license with no points against driving record within the last 3 years
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must have reliable transportation
• Ability to lift and carry 100+ lbs
• Must be reliable and trustworthy
• Must have strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Must have a friendly personality and enjoy working with the public

• While performing related duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with arms and hands
• The employee is required to walk, stand, talk or hear, handle, feel or operate objects
• The employee will occasionally be required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Exposure to pollen, dust, and insects
• Flexible work schedule including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
• The employee must be able to move and lift 100+ lbs occasionally
• Must be comfortable working outdoors in hot and cold temperature conditions
