Iván and Susie arrived in Beavercreek in 2014 and since then they have established a unique reputation throughout our community. They became fascinated with Spanish tapas while assigned as an Air Force Attaché at the U.S. Embassy in Madrid and about Caribbean cuisine during Ivan’s time growing in Puerto Rico. From these experiences, they have developed a relaxed style of cooking classes and catering service to Beavercreek residents.
Casa Núñez specializes in interactive cooking classes, designed to introduce clients to the unique flavors and ingredients of international cuisine. Their class options focus on Spanish tapas, traditional Puerto Rican, Mediterranean, and other Latin American styles of food. In addition, they host monthly dinners with unique cultural themes: Moroccan, German, Cajun, Brazilian, Argentine, Moldovan, Mexican and all-American comfort food.
The couple had been cooking for years for family, friends, and non-profit organizations in Virginia and now Ohio, to include graduation and anniversary celebrations, weekly suppers for up to 100 people at their community pool for four consecutive summers, and tapas demonstrations for sorority reunions and the Beavercreek Women’s League.
