Local non-profit provides adaptive trykes for area children and veterans

Beavercreek, Ohio (March 3, 2020) – Greenebucs hosted their annual Visibility Day to not only raise awareness about their organization but provide several adaptive Amtrykes for area children and veterans.  Members and supporters of Greenebucs met at The Mall at Fairfield Commons on Saturday, February 29th to watch 5 children and 1 local veteran receive their tryke that was personally made to fit their adaptive needs.  Additional trykes were delivered to children and veterans that were not able to make this special event.  During the event, Beavercreek Mayor Bob Stone and Vice Mayor Don Adams as well as State Representative Rick Perales provided proclamations in support of the Greene County Chapter of AMBUCS (Greenebucs).  These special trykes are made possible through local donors and are built by members of the club as well as local supporters.  The Cincinnati Kiwanis Club Foundation, Inc. and Kiwanis Club of Cincinnati made a donation of $3,000 in memory of Bob Zimmerman.  Bob was an active member who built a lot of trykes and was always a helping hand at past Visibility Day events.  The Mall at Fairfield Commons also awarded Greenebucs a $1,000 donation to provide adaptive trykes for area veterans.
Rose & Remington at The Mall at Fairfield Commons will be hosting a fundraising event on March 12th from 5-9 pm where 15% of sales will be donated to Greenebucs.  Shop this great local boutique and help raise money for a great cause.  Visit the Greenebucs Facebook page for additional information.
Greenebucs is hosting their Spring Round-up Membership Drive and would like to invite the community to come out and learn more about how they can get involved within the AMBUCS community.  Lunch meetings will be held on March 4th and April 1st at noon and the dinner meetings will be held on March 18th and April 15th at 6pm at the Beavercreek Golf Club.  If you would like more about Greenebucs, contact Dawn Mader at (937) 241-1453 or email dmader80@gmail.com or visit our website at www.greenebucs.org
