Stephen Brown, Director of Sales and Marketing, Hilton Garden Inn Beavercreek

    1. I have had some experience with a few board member positions with one of them being a committee through work. "We Care Committee" through the Homewood Suites was created to tie in the hotel and our employees with the surrounding community. I was elected by my peers to be the President and we ran multiple charity drives throughout the year.
Also have had the pleasure of sitting in on board meetings for Creek Classic Soccer Tournament. We went over the changes in policies and rules for Ohio South Youth Soccer Association and how that would affect the tournament. Rules like the new concussion law that would directly affect the tournament.
My interest in being a board member for the chamber is the same reason I take advantage of being a chamber member. I am a strong believer in supporting local businesses in our own backyard and keeping the tax dollars in our community when and where we can. I was raised in Beavercreek and I truly believe that I have the advantages that I have now because I grew up in such a wonderful community. Being able to be a part of something that directly affects the success of this community is a priceless opportunity that I would love to take full advantage of.
I also very much look forward to learning from our very experience existing board members and coming new members. I look forward to bettering my leadership skills so that I can become better for my Beavercreek Community. "You must be the change you want to see in the world." Gandhi
    2. I currently serve on the new committee "Greene Leads" through the Beavercreek Chamber and area Greene County Chambers. This has already been such a greeat experience working with local laders from all around. The opportunity to start at the foundation of the committee has brought a great deal of ownership and responsibility as well. Working as a team and building the structure of how the committee will look and run for future committee members has by far been the best board/committee experience I have gained so far.
    3. I have years of experience with the Beavercreek Chamber and the many functions affiliated with it. Though I have never held a position with the chamber, I always look forward to fully supporting their efforts in closing the gap between business owners and/or operators. I truly feel that the chamber is the glue that keeps local businesses and its community moving forward together. Beavercreek has always been home to me and I look forward to continuing to be a contribution to its success. Thank you for your time and consideration and I look forward to the next process in my journey to be considered a Beavercreek Chamber Board Member.

I believe my commitment to this and past experience within the chamber will keep adding value if re-elected.
