Escapology Beavercreek Prepares for Fall Opening, Launches Community-Wide “Escapologist Quest”

October 1, 2026

Family-owned entertainment venue at Fairfield Crossing will feature eight immersive escape-room experiences, two party rooms and a community puzzle adventure leading up to its grand opening

BEAVERCREEK, Ohio — September 2026 — A new immersive entertainment experience is nearing completion in Beavercreek. Escapology Beavercreek, located at 3286 Pentagon Blvd. in Fairfield Crossing, is preparing for a soft opening near the end of October, followed by a grand opening planned for mid-November.

The locally owned and operated venue is being brought to Beavercreek by Josh and Bonnie Lurie and Josh’s parents, Barbara and Leib Lurie, who have worked together to bring the project from concept to reality. Josh Lurie will serve as General Manager and oversee the location’s day-to-day operations.

“We are incredibly excited to finally be this close to opening our doors,” said Josh Lurie. “This has truly been a family project. Bonnie, my parents and I have all put so much into bringing Escapology to Beavercreek, and it’s exciting to watch something we’ve been planning for so long actually take shape. We didn’t just want to open another business here. We want to create a place that becomes part of the Beavercreek and greater Dayton community.”

Eight Immersive Adventures at Opening

Escapology is an immersive escape-room experience in which private groups enter elaborately themed environments and have 60 minutes to search for clues, solve puzzles, crack codes and work together to complete their mission.

Escapology Beavercreek plans to open with eight different escape-room experiences, ranging from murder mysteries and treasure-hunting adventures to experiences featuring some instantly recognizable characters and stories:

  • Batman: The Dark Knight Challenge
  • Scooby-Doo and the Spooky Castle Adventure
  • Now You See Me™
  • 7 Deadly Sins
  • Mansion Murder
  • Lost City
  • Who Stole Mona?
  • Pirate’s Curse

Rather than being paired with strangers, guests book private experiences for their own group, making Escapology suited for date nights, families, groups of friends, celebrations and team-building events.

The Beavercreek location will also feature two dedicated party rooms, expanding the venue’s ability to host birthday parties, corporate and team-building events, school and student groups, and other private gatherings.

“We wanted to create something that works for a lot of different people,” Lurie said. “You can come in for a date night, bring the family, celebrate a birthday, bring coworkers for a team-building event or just get a group of friends together and see if you can escape. We want the experience to start the moment you walk through the door.”

The Escapologist Quest Brings the Mystery Into the Community

The Escapology experience is beginning before the doors even open.

Leading up to the grand opening, Escapology Beavercreek is launching The Escapologist Quest, a free, family-friendly community puzzle experience designed to introduce residents to the spirit of Escapology while encouraging them to explore businesses and community destinations throughout the area.

Participants will visit five official Quest locations, complete a short location-inspired puzzle at each stop and collect clues needed to unlock a final secret.

The five Quest locations are Puzzles Plus, Dominick Lofino Park, Carol Graff Beavercreek Library, Pizza Dive and Blue Sky Coffee. Each stop is free to access, requires no purchase and is designed to take approximately five to ten minutes.

The challenges incorporate visual puzzles, logic, observation, sequencing and code-breaking, offering participants a taste of the problem-solving and discovery at the heart of an Escapology experience.

Participants who complete The Quest and submit the final secret can enter for a chance to win the Escapology Beavercreek All-Access Pass, giving one winner and a guest the opportunity to experience all eight of the location’s opening escape games.

“The Quest was really important to us because we wanted to become involved in the community before we ever sold our first ticket,” Lurie said. “Instead of simply telling people what Escapology is, we thought it would be much more fun to give Beavercreek a mystery to solve. It also gives us a chance to highlight some great local businesses and community locations along the way.”

The Escapologist Quest is free to participate in and requires no purchase. Participants can complete the five locations at their own pace during the campaign.

Opening This Fall

Construction is currently underway at Escapology Beavercreek in Fairfield Crossing, directly across from the Mall at Fairfield Commons.

The team is targeting a soft opening near the end of October, allowing the team to begin welcoming guests and put the finishing touches on operations. A larger grand opening celebration is planned for mid-November, with the exact date and additional grand-opening activities to be announced.

For the Lurie family, opening the doors will represent the culmination of months of planning, construction and collaboration.

“There have been a lot of people involved in getting us to this point, and we’re extremely grateful,” Lurie said. “Now we’re getting to the part we’ve been waiting for—actually welcoming people through the doors. I can't wait to see families, friends and coworkers laughing, competing, solving puzzles and making memories here. We’re ready to show Beavercreek what we’ve been building.”

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE U.S. Secretary of Veterans Affairs Douglas Collins Visits Valor Therapeutics to Learn About Community-Based Creative Arts Therapies. BEAVERCREEK, OH — July 6, 2026 — Valor Therapeutics welcomed U.S. Secretary of Veterans Affairs Douglas Collins to its headquarters to showcase the vital, community-based art therapy, music therapy, and yoga services they provide to local veterans across the Miami Valley region. Secretary Collins met with volunteers and therapists who run the program, and veterans who have benefited from Valor’s services. He discussed with veterans how those services helped fill critical gaps in their healthcare and transition to civilian life. "Having the Secretary of Veterans Affairs see our operation firsthand validates the incredible hard work and dedication of our clinical team and the profound resilience of the veterans we serve," said Julie Garrison, Program Director at Valor Therapeutics. "This visit underscores the urgent need for localized, community-driven support for our heroes by increasing access to art therapy, music therapy, and yoga within the community.” The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) designates art therapy and music therapy as essential clinical interventions for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), and complex behavioral health diagnoses. Valor Therapeutics builds upon these clinical protocols to deploy evidence-based, non-pharmaceutical therapies designed to lower cortisol, regulate the autonomic nervous system, and facilitate post-traumatic growth through three tailored lanes of localized care: Music Therapy: Harnessing music improvisation, composition, re-creating, and listening, and neurologic sensory processing to process emotions, increase self-awareness, decrease social isolation, treat the injured brain, and reduce symptoms Art Therapy: Using clinical art media to safely externalize complex psychological triggers, process complicated grief, and rebuild positive personal identity narratives. Yoga & Mindfulness: Building resilience through mindfulness, applying structured movement and somatic deep breathing to release physical trauma retention, lower physiological stress, and combat chronic anxiety. By shifting these specialized clinical therapies directly from hospital to community settings, Valor Therapeutics ensures that veterans receive immediate, uninhibited care. Conversations with Secretary Collins also focused on the necessity of optimizing the VA's Community Care Network (CCN) to streamline credentialing processes for community-based creative arts therapists, thereby accelerating patient access and reducing clinical wait times.
